Do you accept non-Marshall majors?
Yes, we are open to all majors campus-wide. Whether you're in Marshall, Dornsife, or another field, your openness to learn is what matters most to us.
What do you look for in an applicant?
Please be yourself, we want you to bring something that only you can bring to the table. But if we had to describe the traits we look for in applicants, we look for individuals who are curious, dedicated, and hardworking. We value authenticity and the drive to grow within our professional community.
How many hours per week does Ascend require?
For Ascend Leaders, the time commitment is mandatory two hours on Thursday evenings from 7-9pm. Beyond that, we highly recommend frequent participation in social events to get close to your cohort.
What if I have zero experience—where should I start?
No worries! Just try your best during recruitment and Ascend Launch is perfectly designed for this, to help teach and develop the skills you’ll need in your careers. And make sure to follow us on social media to learn more about the club and definitely attend our info sessions to learn more!
